Exercise for Osteoporosis

Studies have shown that exercise helps to maintain bone tissue and reduce bone loss. The benefits of physical activity for those with Osteoporosis include not only increased bone and muscle strength but also improved posture and enhanced balance and coordination, all of which lead to a reduced risk of falls.

Every class starts with a lively and fun 10-minute warm-up and ends with a full-body stretch routine. Typically, this class is designed with alternating seated and standing exercises and is appropriate for varying levels of fitness. Exercises are chosen carefully and special attention paid to posture and form to prevent injury.  Both Levels 1 & 2 are 1-hour classes.
